Is this product also supportive for joint and connective tissue function?
Yes, it’s often chosen for connective tissue support as part of daily movement and recovery routines.* Vitamin C supports collagen formation, which is important for normal function of connective tissues such as cartilage.* OptiMSM® provides sulfur, a structural component of connective tissue throughout the body.*
What is OptiMSM®, and why is it included?
OptiMSM® is a premium, purified form of MSM (methylsulfonylmethane). It’s an organic sulfur compound that supports the building blocks of collagen and keratin, the two structural proteins that help give hair its strength, skin its firmness, and nails their resilience.* It is one of the most researched MSM forms available, backed by multiple clinical studies across joint health, sports recovery, and beauty-from-within uses. We chose OptiMSM® over other forms of MSM for its purity, consistency, and research track record. It is mixed in at 1,800mg per serving, a dose consistent with clinical research use.
Why are there four ingredients? Why not just MSM or just biotin?Because collagen and keratin don't form from a single nutrient. They require the right raw materials at the right steps in the process. OptiMSM® provides organic sulfur, which supports the backbone both proteins are built from. Without it, neither collagen nor keratin can form properly. Vitamin C activates the enzymes that assemble collagen, supporting a step that sulfur cannot perform on its own. Biotin supports keratin metabolism through a completely separate pathway. Horsetail's silica reinforces the finished structure of hair and nails. Each ingredient addresses a different biological step. That is why the recipe calls for all four.
How long before I notice changes
Individual results vary based on your baseline nutrient status and consistency of use. Collagen and keratin renewal are gradual biological processes. So, this is why we recommend using the recipe consistently for at least 2–3 months before really evaluating any changes. Think of it less like a quick fix and more like consistent nourishment over time.*
Is this formula suitable for teenagers?
If you are considering this product for a teen, we recommend consulting a healthcare provider for individualized guidance, especially for younger teens.
Is Hair, Skin & Nails suitable for long-term use?
Many people use it in courses of 2–3 months, followed by a 1–2 month break before resuming, based on personal preference. A short break is recommended as part of a balanced approach to long-term dietary supplement use. This pause allows you to periodically reassess your wellness ritual and goals before deciding whether to begin another cycle.
If you have a medical condition or take medication, consult your healthcare provider.
