All our product recipes are developed in Estonia and most are crafted in Estonia at our in-house manufacturing facility. The facility is in Tallinn, on the edge of the beautiful Männiku forest.

With our expansion into the US, select products are now made in the USA with Lallemand, including Ecobiotic™ CALM+MOOD, Ecobiotic™ Gut Harmony, and Ecobiotic™ Synbiotic.

Ecosh products comply with all European Union dietary supplement regulations, honoring food safety, raw material quality, and labeling requirements. We work closely with regulatory authorities, perform routine audits and continuously apply internal and quality control measures to ensure ongoing compliance.

Ecosh products intended for the U.S. market are developed and manufactured in accordance with applicable U.S. dietary supplement regulations, including FDA requirements for food safety, ingredient quality, manufacturing practices, and labeling. We work with qualified manufacturing partners who follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and apply ongoing quality control and internal review processes to support regulatory compliance.

Ecosh holds a valid ISO 22000 food safety management system certification.

We are currently working toward FSSC 22000 certification, with completion planned for 2026, and we also plan to apply for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification to further support high standards of manufacturing quality, safety, and compliance.

It's a food safety standard that ensures all our products are safe and meet the highest quality requirements, providing a framework through production, processing, packaging, and distribution. The certification is renewed annually.

We source our ingredients from Europe, the Americas, and Asia, prioritizing the use of local Estonian and European ingredients whenever possible. The organoleptic characteristics (color, aroma, and taste) and potency of plant-based raw materials depend on a plant’s growing location, season, and processing methods. And, certain plants grow only in specific regions of the world (ex. Pau D’Arco in South America and turmeric in parts of Asia).

As a result, our raw materials are globally sourced and may vary throughout the year, making it difficult to specify the origin of each ingredient in every product.

When it comes to sourcing, ingredients are selected through trusted and recognized suppliers. We collaborate exclusively with suppliers that maintain recognized third-party certifications (including ISO, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, HALAL, KOSHER, FEMAS, and GMP+), participate in verified sustainability programs such as Friend of the Sea, and operate in compliance with applicable FSMA and FDA regulatory requirements.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out directly with specific ingredient sourcing inquiries.

We work with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices. This helps us feel confident that our raw materials are not GMO-derived or irradiated. To support this, we receive official statements from our suppliers confirming their GMO and irradiation status.

We also look closely at how each supplier operates. Our evaluation is based on their guiding principles, valid certifications, and alignment with recognized international standards. For every new supplier (and on an ongoing annual basis) we conduct a careful risk assessment to help ensure quality, safety, reliability, and sustainability.

Our suppliers are expected to provide proper documentation related to the quality, performance, and testing of their raw materials. When possible, we prioritize partners with higher-level certifications, as these reflect more stringent production and quality controls.

Suppliers are expected to conduct appropriate in-house quality testing, which is standard practice across our supply chain. Third-party laboratory testing is required when necessary, such as in cases of quality concerns or potential adulteration, to provide independent verification through an accredited lab.

To further reduce risk, we work with multiple suppliers and avoid relying on any single partner.

All of our suppliers hold ISO, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, HALAL, KOSHER, FEMAS, and GMP+, participate in verified sustainability programs such as Friend of the Sea, and operate in compliance with applicable FSMA and FDA regulatory requirements. They must conduct thorough raw material quality control in compliance with European Union regulations and strict internal standards.

Not all Ecosh raw materials are sourced organically. We do hold some EU organic certifications as of recent and are gradually increasing the share of certified organic raw materials used in our product recipes.

We use a range of organic plant-based ingredients, however not all ingredients can be organic by definition. For example, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other ingredients such as bacterial cultures or yeast cannot be certified as organic under current regulations. Also, if organic raw materials are not handled in accordance with approved organic harvesting or processing procedures, they lose their legal organic status.

Also, organic legislations strictly regulates how and to what extent organic ingredients may be referenced on products. Organic claims are permitted only for products that fully meet organic requirements. For example, if a product is otherwise organic but contains added vitamin D, it may not be marketed or labeled as organic, nor may any of its individual ingredients.

This is why we cannot always emphasize the use of organic ingredients in our labels and communications, even when they are included.

As we expand into the United States, USDA Organic certifications are in the works.

The plant-based ingredients used in Ecosh products are of natural origin. When it comes to vitamins, it's important to note that most vitamins today are produced synthetically in order to ensure stability, purity, and precise dosing.

Some minerals, amino acids, and other compounds may also be synthetic.

While we prioritize natural forms whenever possible, our primary focus is on ingredient quality, safety, effectiveness, and clean product composition, rather than drawing a strict distinction between natural and synthetic.

Here, ‘synthetic’ describes the intentional method of production. Not to be confused with ‘artificial,’ which generally refers to non-nutritive additives like colors or flavors.

We not not use any colorants or dyes, letting our product be in their natural colors.

For products intended for international markets outside of Estonia, we conduct independent third-party laboratory testing.

For finished products, we analyze selected samples, testing for microbiological safety, vitamin and mineral content, and, if necessary, heavy metal levels. The analyses are carried out in Estonian laboratories such as LABRIS, Icosagen, Hamilton Baltic and Eurofins for a diversification of third-party analyses.

All raw material batches are tested by the suppliers' laboratories (for heavy metals, microbiology, chemical and physical properties, and organoleptic qualities), and the documentation for these analyses accompanies each batch of raw materials we receive, ensuring batch traceability from the final product back to the raw material.

Once materials are in our hands, we follow strict manufacturing quality controls, as acknowledged through our quality certifications.

Shelf-life tests are also conducted on each product.

Yes!

Our raw materials undergo extensive testing to ensure that they do not contain pesticide residues. And to start, we only use suppliers who can certify the purity and safety of their products.

The only allergens present in our facility are fish oil, which is stored separately from other products, and hemp flour, which contains naturally occurring trace amounts of gluten well below regulatory limits. Allergen control is taken very seriously and is managed through an allergen control plan as part of our HACCP system.

After each production batch involving fish oil, a detailed cleaning process is carried out, followed by allergen testing conducted by the quality manager, in accordance with regulatory requirements. Due to the very low gluten content of hemp flour, additional allergen testing is not required; however, we still choose to disclose its use in our facility.

All raw material suppliers are required to provide allergen information and supporting documentation for their ingredients, including confirmation that gluten content is below 20 ppm, in line with EU Regulation 828/2014.

Each product is accompanied by a specification sheet that provides detailed information on allergens and heavy metals. Where appropriate, additional analyses may be conducted, including gluten or soy testing, based on ingredient-specific risk assessment. we take allergen risk very seriously, if you have any questions please reach out to connect@ecosh.com.

Our manufacturing process adheres to strict hygiene and safety standards, including specific cleaning protocols to prevent cross-contamination and the spread of allergens.

Allergenic products are produced separately, both in time and space, ensuring maximum safety and product purity at every stage of production.

We ensure the performance and efficacy of our products through a multi-level control system. We laboratory test the content of herbs, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, live cultures, etc. in both raw material and finished product form to confirm that the active ingredients meet our desired and labeled levels.

We use raw materials that have also been laboratory tested by our suppliers and, where necessary, patented or standardized to a specific active ingredient content. This ensures consistency of formulation and predictable performance.

When developing each new product, we involve test groups to assess the product's impact, tolerability and actual efficacy before it is launched on the market.

Our products are formulated in a way that ensures optimal absorption of their active ingredients in the body, using high quality and biologically active forms. We use modern technology, such as Liposomal delivery, as well as traditional herbal pairings, to enhance bioavailability as well.

Yes, we prefer to use patented ingredients, as their quality, consistency, and composition are supported by scientific documentation. Some examples include PUREWAY-C® Complex and Ashwagandha KSM-66®.

At the same time, we take a balanced approach to ingredient selection, carefully considering both quality and price. While we use many patented forms and choose them whenever possible, we also use high-quality, non-patented ingredients that meet our internal standards, allowing us to offer products that combine effective formulations with reasonable, accessible pricing.

Research is huge to the science side of our product development. All of our products have been developed through extensive research and many of our ingredients are backed by clinical trials to ensure their efficacy and safety.

Ecosh products have not yet undergone clinical testing. However, many of the ingredients used in our products, particularly patented raw materials, are supported by existing clinical studies.

Conducting clinical research on Ecosh products is part of our long-term plan and the work to get to this point is already underway.

Clinical trials have been conducted on the patented ingredients we use. In the case of our raw ingredients, their safety and efficacy have been scientifically evaluated and documented in accordance with applicable requirements.

Ecosh products are formulated without the use of animal-derived ingredients; however, not all ingredients from our suppliers carry formal vegan certification. This is why our products cannot be formally marketed or labeled as vegan.
